NanoLumens, a manufacturer and marketer of indoor LED display solutions, has announced the appointment of David DaCosta to the position of VP of EMEA and the opening of a new sales and support office in London to serve the region."With our United States sales and marketing programs now very well established, the time is right for NanoLumens to make a meaningful commitment to the development of the EMEA region," said NanoLumens executive VP of Business Development, Karen Robinson.

"We are very pleased to announce that these efforts will be led by David DaCosta, the former chairman of the Limited Space Media Group."

Effective immediately, DaCosta is responsible for the development and implementation of all administrative, operational, sales, marketing, and technical support programs for the entire EMEA region. He reports directly to NanoLumens VP of sales, Rick Bortles.

"I can think of no more exciting industry opportunity than to assume responsibility for the EMEA market success of this dynamic, forward-looking technology leader," DaCosta said.

According to DaCosta, currently within the European part of EMEA there are 27 countries incorporating a mature population of 450 million — a market second in size only to the United States.

"It is my principal target and area of responsibility to quickly develop and establish opportunities within this economic block and to represent up to 30 percent of global sales for the company," he said.

DaCosta has spent the past decade building digital media platforms in the transport sector for network rail, in the medical sector at primary and secondary health locations, in the leisure sector with national and regional sports stadia, and in retail installing digital networks at primary and secondary shopping malls throughout the UK.

Outside of the industry, DaCosta has served on the boards of several public and private organisations. He is the founder of Missing Kids TV, a non-profit organisation set up to invite DOOH networks to participate in assisting law enforcement with immediately broadcasting Amber Alert warnings.

The NanoLumens European sales and support office is located at 28 Bolton Street, London.
